NEW MEXICO HARM REDUCTION COLLABORATIVE'S

DRUG USERS UNION

A Drug Users Union is an organized group created for the purpose of improving access to services, legislation, and conditions specifically for people who use substances. Drug Users Unions provide a space for people who use drugs to come together and discuss issues, take action, and make change within their community.

As of September 1, 2021 New Mexico Harm Reduction Collaborative began organizing our first Drug Users Union. We will be spending the rest of 2021 organizing and making space for the voices of drug users who want improved access to MAT treatment like Methadone and Suboxone, better conditions for those who are unsheltered or unhoused, and working to change local policies surrounding encampments and barriers to safe and sustainable housing.

meeting schedule

NMHRC is currently working to come up with a meeting schedule, place, and time that will support the needs of those in our community who are unhoused or do not have access to transportation.
